The Setup Guide is a checklist that lets you experience Lumo's main features in order. It appears on the Dashboard, and working through its five steps gets your initial setup ready.
What is the Setup Guide?
The Setup Guide is a feature that walks you through your initial setup and the use of key features in order.
It appears on the Dashboard, and from the "Settings" link on each step you can jump to the relevant screen. When you finish a step, a check mark appears, so you can see your progress at a glance.
Step 1: Connect LINE Official Account
You connect your LINE Official Account to Lumo. Once it is connected, you can send broadcasts and manage your friends.
For detailed instructions, see "How to Connect Your LINE Official Account".
Step 2: Send your first broadcast message
You create and send a Message Broadcast. A Message Broadcast is a feature for sending a message to all of your friends or to a Segment at once.
To start, send a test message to yourself and confirm that the broadcast arrives in the LINE app.
This step is marked complete once one broadcast has finished sending. A test send alone doesn't complete it.
Step 3: Create a workflow
A Workflow is an automation that combines a trigger (what starts it) with an action (what it does).
In this step, you build a mechanism that automatically sends a greeting message when someone adds you as a friend. Once it is set up, you can automate how you respond to new friends.
This step is marked complete once you have created one Workflow.
Step 4: Send a segment broadcast
A Segment is a group of friends narrowed down by conditions.
Using the information you gathered in Step 3, you can broadcast to only specific friends. Instead of sending the same content to everyone, you can send broadcasts tailored to each recipient.
Step 5: Create a Rich Menu
A Rich Menu is a menu that is always shown at the bottom of the LINE chat screen.
You set tappable areas on an image and assign links or actions to them. This lets your friends quickly reach key pages right from the chat screen.
This step is marked complete once you create a Rich Menu, activate it, and it is applied on LINE.
