Once you connect your LINE Official Account to Lumo, you can run broadcasts and manage friends. The connection follows a six-step wizard and takes about 20 minutes to complete.
What to Prepare Before Connecting
To connect, you need a Lumo account and a LINE Official Account that you are able to configure.
- You are logged in to Lumo
- You have a LINE Official Account (you can connect even on the free plan)
- You can access LINE Official Account Manager and LINE Developers
Starting the Connection
You start the connection from the account list screen.
- Connecting for the first time: In the guidance shown after you log in, select "Start connecting your LINE Official Account".
- Connecting an additional account: Open "Accounts" in the navigation menu and select "Connect LINE Official Account".
Review the contents of the pre-check screen, then select "Start connecting your LINE Official Account" to begin the wizard.
Step 1: Set the Account Name
Set the account name displayed in Lumo, along with the country/region. Using the same name as your LINE Official Account makes it easier to manage.
Step 2: Set the Channel Information
From the Messaging API settings of your LINE Official Account, copy the channel ID and channel secret and enter them.

You can find both in the LINE Developers console. If a value returns an error, check the correct value in the console.
Step 3: Set the Webhook URL
Copy the Webhook URL shown on the screen using "Copy URL", then paste it into the Webhook URL setting field of your LINE Official Account.
Step 4: Enable the Webhook
Enable the Webhook in the admin screen of your LINE Official Account. Once it is enabled, check the box in Lumo and proceed to the next step.
Step 5: Confirm You Have Added the Account as a Friend
To test the connection, add the target LINE Official Account as a friend in your own LINE app.
- If you have already added it as a friend: Block it once and then unblock it to reset the connection check.
- If you have not added it as a friend yet: Add the LINE Official Account you plan to use with Lumo as a friend.
Step 6: Connection Complete
When the connection complete screen appears, your setup is finished.
You can try a test send right away to confirm that the connection is working correctly. After connecting, just tell the Marketing Agent "I want to create a broadcast" and it will prepare the broadcast for you.
When Things Don't Work
Here are common sticking points during connection and how to address them.
- The connect button doesn't appear: Check whether you have administrator permissions for the Workspace.
- The channel ID or channel secret returns an error: Check that you copied the correct value from the LINE Developers console. The channel ID is numbers only, and the channel secret is 16 or more characters.
- No friends appear after connecting: Right after connecting, syncing can take some time. Wait a while and then reload the page.
- A Webhook error appears: Check that the Webhook URL is set correctly in the LINE Developers console and that the Webhook is enabled.
