A LINE Notification Message is a message type that lets you send standardized notices such as shipping or reservation updates using templates provided by LINE Official. Marketing Agent can select and fill in the right template for you, or you can manually choose and configure one yourself on the Create Broadcast screen.
What Is a LINE Notification Message?
A LINE Notification Message is a message you send using a notification template provided by LINE Official. You pick one template from purpose-specific options such as shipping, reservations, payments, or support, then fill in fields like the store name and date before sending.
Rather than product introductions or campaign announcements, this type is suited to factual notices about transactions and procedures. The template structure follows LINE Official specifications.
Leave It to the Agent
When you tell Marketing Agent your goal and the notice you want to send, it selects the template that fits the purpose and fills in the fields for you. There is no need to build everything from scratch by hand.
The agent's proposal is not sent automatically. After you review the content and choose "Approve" or "Cancel" in the approval dialog, the broadcast goes out. If you want to configure the details yourself, open the Create Broadcast screen, select a template, and create the broadcast.
Choose a Template
You select LINE Notification Message as the message type on the Create Broadcast screen.
Steps
- Open the broadcast creation screen from "Create Broadcast"
- Select "LINE Notification Message" as the message type
- Select the "Region"
- From the list of templates shown, choose the one that fits your purpose
Regions and Templates
Templates are provided per region, and the number and types of templates available differ by region. Choose the region that matches your recipients.
Templates are organized into purpose-specific groups such as shipping, reservations, payments, and support.
Set the Customizable Fields
Templates include fields you replace with your own content, such as the store name and date. The fields differ from one template to another.
| Example field | Example input |
|---|---|
| Pickup store name | XX Store |
| Estimated delivery date | June 10 |
| Payment amount | 3,500 yen |
Highlighting
You can select one field in the template to highlight. Use this when you want to make the most important piece of information stand out. This setting is optional.
Set the CTA Buttons
Below the message, you can add action buttons (CTA buttons) that let your customers take the next step.
For each button, you set the label to display and the destination URL. The types and number of buttons you can set depend on the template you chose.
| Example button | Example purpose |
|---|---|
| Check delivery status | Guide customers to the shipping status page |
| Change delivery date | Guide customers to the procedure for changing the pickup date |
| Contact us | Guide customers to the support desk |
Conditions for Use in a Broadcast
A LINE Notification Message has a restriction: it cannot be combined with other message types.
| Condition | Details |
|---|---|
| Position it can be set in | Only the first message in a broadcast |
| Combination | Cannot be used together with other message types |
| Per broadcast | Must consist of the LINE Notification Message alone |
You cannot bundle it into the same broadcast as text, images, Rich Messages, or similar. Create a broadcast that sends a LINE Notification Message with the LINE Notification Message on its own.
When Things Don't Work
The setup steps people most often stumble on are selecting the region and missing required fields.
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| You can't find the template you want | Check that the "Region" selection is correct. The templates available differ by region |
| The preview doesn't appear | Check whether any customizable field is left blank |
| You can't save the broadcast | Check whether another message type is included in the same broadcast. A LINE Notification Message can only be set up on its own |
