A recurring broadcast automatically delivers the same Message Broadcast on a fixed day of the week and time. With a single setup, you can keep sending weekly announcements or daily reminders on an ongoing basis.
What Is a Recurring Broadcast
A recurring broadcast is a setting that keeps sending one Message Broadcast automatically on the days of the week and times you specify.
It is a good fit when you want to deliver the same message on an ongoing basis, such as a regular weekly announcement, a weekday morning reminder, or a daily coupon notification. Once you set it up, messages are sent automatically on the schedule you chose.
Let the Agent Handle It
For recurring message broadcasts, you can simply tell Marketing Agent your goal and let it take care of the rest. You do not need to decide the days or times yourself; the agent builds the broadcast plan for you.
How to Delegate
In Chat, share your goal, such as "I want to deliver new updates to my Friends every week." The agent prepares a plan that includes the target Segment, the days and times, and the message content.
Approve and Run
Review the plan the agent prepared, then confirm it by clicking "Approve". If you want changes, choose "Cancel" and describe what you want in Chat, and the agent will rebuild it. You can review the content at any time before the broadcast begins.
Set Up a Recurring Broadcast Yourself
If you want to specify the days and times yourself, you can configure a recurring broadcast from the Message Broadcast creation screen.
- In "Message Broadcast", click "Create Broadcast"
- Set the sending LINE Official Account, the recipients, and the message content
- In the broadcast settings, select "Send as a recurring broadcast"
- Specify the days of the week and the delivery time
- Review the content, check the result with a test message, and then confirm
Once setup is complete, the message is broadcast automatically on the days and times you specified.
Days and Times to Broadcast
For a recurring broadcast, you specify the days of the week and the time to send.
Specifying the Days
Choose the days you want to broadcast from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can select multiple days. Selecting every day makes it a daily broadcast. You must select at least one day.
Specifying the Time
For each day you selected, specify the time to send the message. The message is sent automatically at the time you specified.
| Setting | Details |
|---|---|
| Days to broadcast | Select one or more from Monday to Sunday (selecting all means daily) |
| Delivery time | The time to send the message |
Stop or Change a Recurring Broadcast
You can stop a recurring broadcast or change its content even after it has started.
When you want to change the days, times, or message content, edit the broadcast and update the schedule or content. When you want to stop future deliveries, stop the broadcast. Even after stopping, you can set the schedule again and resume whenever you need to.
When You Want to Change the Content Each Time
Because a recurring broadcast is designed to keep sending the same message, a different approach works better when you want to vary the content each time.
If you want to deliver a different message every time, tell Marketing Agent something like "I want to send announcements with different content every week." The agent creates a broadcast plan for each period and prepares different content for each round. You can move forward with each broadcast by reviewing the content and clicking "Approve".
When Things Do Not Work
Here are the points to check when a recurring broadcast is not running or you want to adjust its content.
| Situation | Check / Action |
|---|---|
| The broadcast does not run | Check whether the broadcast is in a stopped state and whether the days and delivery time are set correctly |
| You cannot select days or confirm | Check that at least one day is selected |
| You want to change the content each time | Ask Marketing Agent for a broadcast plan for each period |
| You want to narrow down to a specific Segment | Specify the Segment in the recipients. A Segment is a condition for filtering Friends, which is a separate concept from the tags you attach to friends |
