A recurring broadcast automatically delivers the same Message Broadcast on fixed days of the week and at a fixed time. With a single setup you can keep sending weekly announcements, daily reminders, or recommendations of newly added products and job listings powered by a content feed.
What is a recurring broadcast?
A recurring broadcast is a setting that keeps sending one Message Broadcast automatically on the days of the week and at the time you specify.
It is a good fit when you want to deliver the same message on an ongoing basis, such as a weekly announcement, a weekday morning reminder, or a daily coupon notification. When the product card uses a content feed, each delivery automatically lines up the products that match the feed conditions at that moment, such as newly posted jobs or restocked items.
Setting up a recurring broadcast
You set the days and time on the Message Broadcast creation screen.
- In "Message Broadcast", click "Create Broadcast"
- Set the sending LINE Official Account, the recipients, and the message content
- Under "Delivery Timing", choose "Schedule for a specific date and time" and turn on "Repeat delivery"
- Choose the days of the week and the "Delivery Time". Set a "Start date" and "End date" if you need them
- Check "Next delivery" to confirm when the first message goes out
- Review the content, send a test message from "Delivery Confirmation", and confirm
Once confirmed, the broadcast shows as "Scheduled" in the broadcast list and is sent automatically on the days and at the time you chose.
Setting the days and time from the AI panel
In the AI panel on the broadcast creation screen, say something like "Send this every Monday and Thursday at 9:00" and the agent fills in the delivery timing with the repeat setting, days, and time. Check what was entered and confirm from "Delivery Confirmation". The agent never puts a broadcast into the scheduled state, so a member always makes the final confirmation.
Days, time, and period
In addition to the days of the week and the time, a recurring broadcast can have a period.
| Setting | Details |
|---|---|
| Days to broadcast | Select one or more from Monday to Sunday (selecting all means daily) |
| Delivery time | The time the message is sent. The same time applies to every selected day |
| Start date | The first delivery happens on or after this date (optional). Starts right away if left blank |
| End date | Deliveries stop after this date (optional). Continues until stopped if left blank |
| Next delivery | The next date and time the message will be sent with the current settings. Use it to double-check before confirming |
Days and times are evaluated in the time zone set for the workspace. If the chosen time has already passed today, the first delivery falls on the next matching day.
Stopping or changing a recurring broadcast
You can stop a recurring broadcast or change its content even after it has started.
| What you want to do | How |
|---|---|
| Change the days, time, or content | Open "Edit" on the broadcast detail screen, make the change, and confirm again from "Delivery Confirmation" |
| Stop future deliveries | Click "Cancel scheduled delivery" on the broadcast detail screen. The broadcast goes back to a draft, and deliveries that have not been sent yet are not sent |
| Resume | Edit the draft and confirm again from "Delivery Confirmation" |
A delivery that has already started is not interrupted. Stopping takes effect from the next delivery.
Checking the results of each delivery
You can check the results of a recurring broadcast delivery by delivery on the broadcast detail screen.
"Delivery history" lists each run with the run time, status, targets, and the sent, opened, clicked, error, and skipped counts. The figures under "Performance" are totals across all runs. To see the recipient breakdown for one run, check its run time in the delivery history and then use the filters under "Recipients".
If a run is delayed by 90 minutes or more past its scheduled time, for example because of a system outage, it is skipped instead of being sent late and is recorded in the delivery history as "Cancelled". The next run is sent as usual.
Combining with a content feed
Recurring broadcasts combined with a product card and a content feed let you recommend newly added jobs or products on a regular basis.
- In the content feed filters, set a number of days for "Date added" so that only recently added products are included (for example, 7 days for a weekly broadcast)
- Choose that feed as the data source of the "Product" card in a Card Type Message
- Turn on "Don't send to recipients with no feed products" in the delivery settings. Friends with no products to show are not sent that run's message and are counted as "Skipped" in the delivery history
When this setting is off, friends with no products receive the product card's alternative text instead. The same applies when the feed uses recipient attributes in its HubSpot product property conditions.
A recurring broadcast uses message quota for every run. As a rough monthly guide, multiply the number of recipients by the number of runs per month. If the LINE Official Account reaches its monthly limit, that run is recorded as failed without being sent, and deliveries resume from the next run after the limit resets.
When you want to change the content each time
Because a recurring broadcast is designed to keep sending the same message, a different approach works better when you want to vary the content each time.
If you want to deliver a different message every time, tell Marketing Agent something like "I want to send announcements with different content every week." The agent creates a broadcast plan for each period and prepares a different draft for each round. Confirm each broadcast from "Delivery Confirmation" after reviewing its content.
When things don't work
Here are the points to check when a recurring broadcast is not running or you want to adjust it.
| Situation | Check / Action |
|---|---|
| The broadcast doesn't run | Check that the status in the broadcast list is "Scheduled" and that the days, delivery time, start date, and end date are correct |
| You can't select days or confirm | Check that at least one day is selected |
| One run was not delivered | Check the status of that run in the delivery history. "Cancelled" means it was skipped for being 90 minutes or more late; "Failed" shows the recorded error reason |
| Friends with no products receive the alternative text | Turn on "Don't send to recipients with no feed products" in the delivery settings |
| The same products are sent every time | Set "Date added" in the content feed filters so only recently added products are included |
| You want to change the content each time | Ask Marketing Agent for a broadcast plan for each period |
| You want to narrow down to a specific Segment | Specify the Segment in the recipients. A Segment is a condition for filtering Friends, which is a separate concept from the tags you attach to friends |
