Tags are labels you use to organize and classify your friends. You can create, edit, and delete tags, and add or remove them from individual friends. The tags you create can be reused as conditions in Segments and Workflows, and you can even leave the work to the agent by telling it something like "Add a tag to my VIP customers."
The Difference Between Tags and Segments
"Tags" and "Segments" are separate concepts. To avoid confusion, here is how the three differ.

The "tags" described here are the labels you attach to individual friends. Because tags can be built into the conditions of Segments and Workflows, classifying your friends with tags first makes later broadcasts and automation go smoothly.
Requirements for using this feature
To use tags, you need to be logged in to Lumo and have a LINE Official Account connected.

Let the agent handle tagging
You can leave adding and organizing tags to the Marketing Agent. Before you operate manually on one friend at a time, first describe what you want to do in your own words.
- "Add a 'New customer' tag to friends who purchased recently"
- "Organize the tags I need first, so I can create a Segment"
When the agent proposes what it will do, select "Approve" in the approval dialog to apply it. If you want to review the details, select "Cancel". If you prefer to configure things in detail yourself, refer to the manual steps in the following sections.
Open the Tag screen
You open the Tag screen from the side menu.
From the navigation menu, select the target LINE Official Account and click "Tags". The list of tags appears. In the list, you can check the number of friends and the last updated date for each tag.
Create a new tag
You create a new tag from the "Create Tag" button in the tag list.
Click the "Create Tag" button to open the tag creation screen.
Enter the tag name
Enter the name of the tag in the "Tag Name" field. The tag name is required. You cannot create two tags with the same name within the same LINE Official Account.
Select the owning account
In "Owning Account", select the LINE Official Account that the tag belongs to. If you created the tag from a LINE Official Account screen, the relevant account is selected in advance.
Once you have finished entering the details, click the "Save Tag" button.
Edit a tag
You can change a tag's name at any time afterward.
Click the tag name in the tag list to open the tag editing screen. Change the name in the "Tag Name" field and click the "Save Tag" button.
The owning account cannot be changed after creation. If you want to link a tag to a different account, create a tag with the same name under the new account and delete the tag you no longer need.
Check where a tag is used
You can check where a tag is used on the tag editing screen.
The tag editing screen displays a list of the Segments and Workflows that use the tag as a condition. Before you delete or change a tag, checking the scope of impact here is the safe approach. A tag that is not used anywhere shows the message "This tag is not used in any Segment or Workflow."
Delete a tag
You can delete a tag you no longer need from either the list screen or the editing screen. Deletion cannot be undone.
Delete from the list screen
In the tag list, select the checkbox for a tag and click the "Delete" button that appears at the top of the screen. You can also select multiple tags and delete them at once. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to finalize the deletion.
Delete from the editing screen
Click the "Delete" button on the tag editing screen. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to finalize the deletion.
When you delete a tag, the tag is removed from every friend it was attached to. If the tag is used as a condition in a Segment or Workflow, check where the tag is used before deleting it.
Add a tag to a friend
You add tags to friends from the friend profile in Chat.
- Select the target friend in Chat
- The "Tags" section appears in the profile information panel on the right
- Select the tag to add from the tag selection field
The tag is applied as soon as you select it. Only tags that are not yet attached appear in the selection field. When you want to go to the Tag screen, you can open it from the "Tag Settings Screen" button.
Remove a tag from a friend
You can remove attached tags from the same profile information panel.
Select the target friend in Chat, and in the "Tags" section of the profile information panel, click the remove button (×) for the tag you want to remove. The tag is removed right away.
Filter friends by tag
In Chat, you can filter friends using tags.
In the Chat "Filter Search", select a tag and run "Filter" to display only the friends that have the selected tag. If you select multiple tags, friends that have any of the tags are displayed. If you want to extract recipients by condition, use a Segment rather than tags.
When things do not work
Common tag issues and how to resolve them are listed below.
