Lumo's Marketing Agent automates your LINE marketing — planning, preparing, and analyzing broadcasts so you can focus on the goal.
What Is the Marketing Agent?
The Marketing Agent is an AI agent that takes the day-to-day work of LINE marketing off your hands entirely.
From planning, creating, and scheduling broadcasts through to analysis and improvement, the agent proactively runs the full cycle. All you do is set a goal, review the content, and approve it. That frees up your time for talking with your customers and building your products.
The Marketing Agent is an AI that supports the members of your Workspace. Its role is different from the Customer Agent, which automatically responds to your customers on LINE.
What You Can Hand Off and What You Do
The agent handles most of the hands-on work, and you make only the key decisions. The division of roles is as follows.
| Role | Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Agent | Data analysis, planning broadcasts, writing broadcast copy and creating Segments, optimizing broadcast timing, and post-broadcast analysis and improvement |
| You | Communicate goals, review and approve the content the agent has prepared, and share direction when needed |
You don't need to "do everything yourself." You can start simply by telling the agent a goal and reviewing the proposals it comes back with. You can still create broadcasts and Segments manually, but that's a supplementary way to use it.
The GOALS Model — The Agent's Design Philosophy
Lumo's Marketing Agent is designed around the GOALS model. After you set a goal, the stages of planning, approval, broadcasting, and analysis follow one another, so your marketing campaigns keep improving without interruption.
The name of each stage corresponds to a tab name in the agent control center.
| Stage | Role | Responsibilities |
|---|---|---|
| G — Goal | You + Agent | Set the goal. Just say "I want more friends," and the agent analyzes your current situation and proposes an achievable goal |
| O — Orchestration | Agent | Plan and prepare the broadcast. Prepare the broadcast plan, write the broadcast copy, select recipients, and optimize broadcast timing |
| A — Approval | You | Approve. Review the preview and what will be carried out, then choose "Approve" |
| L — Launch & Execute | Agent | Broadcast and execute. In line with what was approved, schedule broadcasts, activate Workflows, and more |
| S — Study & Learn | Agent | Analyze and learn. After a broadcast, automatically analyze the results, learn what worked, and apply it to the next broadcast |
Because what the agent learns in S (Study & Learn) feeds into the next broadcast, its proposals become more accurate the more you use it.
There Are Only Three Things to Do
When you use the Marketing Agent, what you do is very simple.
| What to do | Details | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Communicate a goal | Tell the agent what you want to achieve in Chat | "I want to reach 1,000 friends," "I want to raise the open rate" |
| Approve | Review the preview of the broadcast the agent has prepared, then choose "Approve" or "Cancel" | Choose "Approve" in the notification that arrives the day before the broadcast |
| Share direction | Share tone or direction when needed | "Make the tone more casual," "I want to push this product" |
Everything else is handled by the agent.
Your Days Change
When you use the Marketing Agent, the time you spend on marketing drops dramatically. Comparing your routine before and after adopting it shows the difference.
Before Adopting the Agent
You think up the broadcast content, set it up on screen, and send it. The next day you check the results and think up the next campaign. Marketing takes up a large part of your day, every day.
After Adopting the Agent
In the morning, a notification arrives from the agent: "I'll send a broadcast at 12:00 today. Please take a look." You just review the preview and choose "Approve". After that, you can focus on talking with your customers and building your products. The next day, the results arrive: "Open rate was 41% — going strong! Next week I'll propose another one along these lines."
What the Agent Can Do
The Marketing Agent can automatically carry out a wide range of operations, from planning through analysis. The main categories are as follows.
| Category | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Broadcasting | Writing broadcast copy, creating Rich Messages, generating images, selecting recipient Segments, optimizing broadcast timing, and scheduling broadcasts |
| Planning | Drawing up a marketing plan, creating a recurring broadcast schedule, and designing A/B Tests |
| Analysis | Analyzing broadcast results, analyzing customer insights, analyzing inquiry trends, and comparing the effectiveness of Segments |
| Automation | Creating and activating Workflows, and measuring effectiveness |
| Integration | Using Shopify product data, referencing HubSpot lists, and gathering up-to-date information through web search |
| Goal management | Setting goals and tracking progress, adjusting campaigns based on pace, and creating weekly and monthly Reports |
Here, a "Segment" is a condition for narrowing down recipients, which is a different concept from a "tag" applied to friends.
Notifications from the Agent
The agent analyzes, proposes, and prepares on its own before you ask. The main types of notifications are as follows.
| Notification type | Timing | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Broadcast preview | The day before a scheduled broadcast | "I'll send this broadcast tomorrow at 12:00. Please take a look." |
| Broadcast results | The day after a broadcast is completed | "Open rate was 41% — going strong! Next time I'll double down on this approach." |
| Goal progress | Once a week | "856 friends. 144 to go until the goal of 1,000." |
| Anomaly detection | When a metric changes significantly | "The open rate dropped a lot compared to last time. I'll look into why." |
| Marketing plan | At the start of the month | "I've put together next month's marketing plan. Please take a look." |
| Automation proposal | When a pattern is detected | "There are a lot of inquiries about delivery status. Want me to set up an auto-reply?" |
Notifications come with action buttons suited to the situation. With a broadcast preview you can choose "Approve" / "Cancel", and with a results notification you can choose options like "Analyze in more detail" / "I want to create the next broadcast" to move on to the next step.
About Safety
The Marketing Agent is designed with safety as the top priority. The key point is that sending broadcasts and activating Workflows always require your approval.
- Sending a broadcast always requires your approval. Even as your trust in the agent grows, sending broadcasts is the one thing that is never automated
- Activating a Workflow also requires approval
- Customer data is isolated per Workspace. The agent never references data from another Workspace
The agent's level of autonomy is managed by a Trust Score, and for each type of operation you can set it to "approval required," "notify only," or "automatic." However, sending broadcasts is always fixed at "approval required."
How to Use the Agent
You can call up the Marketing Agent in a chat format from anywhere in Lumo's management screen. Here is how to open it.
| Method | How to do it |
|---|---|
| From the Dashboard | Choose "Consult the AI agent" |
| Keyboard shortcut | Cmd+J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows) |
For your interactions with the agent, there are Chat modes you can switch between to match the situation.
| Chat mode | Best suited for |
|---|---|
| Auto | When you want it to automatically switch between proposing and creating based on the situation |
| Create | When you want a first draft or rough draft made right away |
| Consult | When you want to brainstorm, analyze, or sort out direction |
Anyone who is a member of the Workspace can use it.
When Things Don't Go as Expected
Common issues resolve quickly once you know where to look.
- When the agent doesn't respond: Refresh the page. If it continues, start a new chat
- When you get a proposal that differs from your intent: Share the direction in Chat. The agent understands the context of the conversation and adjusts
- When you're unsure whether a proposal is accurate: You can always review the preview before a broadcast is sent. Nothing is sent unless you approve it
