Marketing Agent is a partner you can rely on for planning, preparing, and analyzing broadcasts — all from a single goal you share. Your job is simply to tell it your goal in Chat and approve the agent's suggestions.
How delegation works
Marketing Agent leaves you just two roles — deciding the goal and approving — while it takes care of planning, broadcast preparation, sending, and analysis. It all starts with you sharing a goal.
What you do
- Decide the goal: Tell the agent what you want to achieve in Chat
- Approve: Review the agent's suggestion and choose "Execute" or "Not now"
What the agent handles
- Analyzes your current situation and suggests campaigns
- Prepares the broadcast copy, Segments, and send times
- Schedules and runs the broadcast once approved
- Analyzes the results and suggests the next improvement
Opening the agent screen
You can open the Marketing Agent screen in two ways — full screen or as a side panel — and switch between them depending on what you need.
| Method | Action | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| AI agent button | Click the round AI agent button at the bottom left of the screen | Opens as a side panel |
| Keyboard shortcut | Cmd+J (Mac) / Ctrl+J (Windows) | Opens as a side panel |
In side-panel mode, you can ask the agent questions while working on other screens, such as broadcasts or Friends. For an in-depth conversation, switch to full screen with the panel's full-screen button.
It answers with your open screen in mind
In the side panel, the agent knows which screen you have open. It also takes into account the items you've checked in a list (up to 20) and what you're editing. You can make requests like "Compare the results of the broadcasts I selected" from the broadcast list, "Tell me about this broadcast" from a broadcast's details screen, or "Review this tap area's settings" while editing a Rich Message.
Telling the agent your Goal
A conversation with the agent begins when you describe what you want to achieve in natural language. The agent analyzes your current situation and proposes a concrete goal and campaigns.
For example, you might say:
- "I want to grow Friends to 1,000 people"
- "I'd like to hand off my weekly broadcasts"
- "I want to improve my open rate"
It's fine if you haven't nailed down numbers or deadlines yet. The agent asks questions and helps you shape the goal together.
Requesting a broadcast
Creating a broadcast is just as easy — request it in Chat and the agent prepares it. It proposes the broadcast copy, Segments, and send time all at once, so all you have to do is review and approve.
For example, you might request:
- "Create a campaign broadcast for our new product"
- "I want to send an exclusive offer to repeat customers"
- "Plan next month's broadcasts"
If you want to adjust what's proposed, just tell the agent your changes in Chat. Once it's ready, approve it and the agent schedules the broadcast.
Requesting analysis
You can leave data analysis to the agent as well. Ask what you want to know, and it summarizes the results for you.
For example, you might ask:
- "Tell me how last month's broadcasts performed"
- "What do high-click-rate broadcasts have in common?"
- "I want to check how my Friend count has trended"
Based on the analysis, the agent goes a step further and suggests improvements for your next broadcast or Segments.
Responding to notifications
The agent delivers notifications whenever something needs your attention. Reviewing these notifications and choosing to approve or take an action is your main day-to-day task.
Broadcast preview notification
This is a heads-up that arrives the day before the scheduled date of an already scheduled broadcast. Even if you don't respond, the broadcast is sent as scheduled. To rethink it, use "Cancel scheduled delivery" in the broadcast list to return it to a draft, then request changes in Chat.
Result report notification
This arrives after a broadcast. Review the analysis and choose an action such as "Take a closer look", "Plan the next broadcast", or "Maybe later".
Goal progress notification
This arrives regularly to keep you posted on your set goal. You can check your current progress and the pace needed to reach the goal.
Sending a message
Type your message in the input field at the bottom of the screen and send it with the "Send" button or the Enter key.
While a reply is being generated, the send button changes to "Stop". Click it or press the Esc key to stop the generation. A stopped reply remains as "Stopped", and actions completed before the interruption (such as creating a broadcast draft) are not undone.
Hover over one of your sent messages and an "Edit and resend" icon appears. Click it to put the text back into the input field, revise it, and send it again. With the input field empty, press the ↑ key to restore the last message you sent.
You can also attach images to your question. Click the add icon in the input field, or drag and drop images to attach them. Each message supports up to 5 images, with a maximum of 10MB per image (JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC formats).
Switching chat modes
Click the current mode name (such as "Auto") at the bottom left of the input box to open the list of modes. In the list, "Auto" is marked "Recommended". In most cases, leaving it on "Auto" works fine.
| Mode | How it works | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Auto | Automatically switches between suggesting and creating based on the situation | When you have no particular preference |
| Create | Prioritizes building first drafts and rough versions | When you just want something made |
| Consult | Prioritizes brainstorming, analysis, and organizing direction | When you want to look at data and think |
For details on when to use each mode, see "How to Set the Chat Mode".
Managing conversation history
Your conversations with the agent are saved as chat rooms, so you can revisit them anytime. Starting a new chat for each topic helps keep things organized.
