Choosing HubSpot as the data source for a content feed lets you automatically recommend items from your HubSpot product library in LINE Card Type Messages. Beyond products, you can register anything you want to promote — job openings, properties, plans, and more — as a product and use it in LINE broadcasts. This article covers everything from preparation to creating and delivering a HubSpot-sourced content feed.
What you can do with HubSpot products
You can line up items registered in your HubSpot product library into cards and deliver them on LINE, selected automatically by your conditions.
- Products registered in HubSpot are selected automatically on every send, based on the feed's conditions
- Items other than products (job openings, properties, plans, and so on) can be delivered the same way once registered as products
- You can adjust the price display and labels to match your content, including expressions for salaries or rents
You can also leave the delivery itself to the Marketing Agent — just ask something like "I want to send HubSpot's newest products on LINE." The basics of content feeds (reuse, organizing with folders, fallbacks, and so on) are covered in Creating a Content Feed.
Preparation
Using HubSpot products requires the HubSpot integration, product read access, and products registered on the HubSpot side.
| Preparation | Details |
|---|---|
| LINE official account connected | The target LINE official account is connected to Lumo |
| HubSpot integration | The HubSpot integration is enabled for the target account |
| Product read access | Add access to read HubSpot products (this is an optional scope, so it may need to be granted separately even when already integrated) |
| Products registered in HubSpot | Register the items you want to deliver in your HubSpot product library |
Adding product read access
When the access has not been granted, choosing HubSpot in a content feed shows a notice from which you can add it.
- When you choose "HubSpot" as the data source on the feed creation screen, if access is missing, a notice reading "HubSpot product read access is required" and a "Re-authorize HubSpot" button appear
- You can also add the access from "Re-authorize HubSpot" under Account info in the HubSpot integration's "Settings". You do not need to unlink the integration, and synced data stays as is
- Re-authorizing takes you to the HubSpot permission screen. Once you allow reading products, you can use HubSpot products in content feeds
Registering products in your HubSpot product library
Register the items you want to deliver as products in your HubSpot product library.
Set the following for each product.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Product name | The name shown on the card |
| Unit price | The price shown on the card (currency is supplied by the prefix/suffix labels) |
| Product URL | The destination opened from the card's button. Products with no URL are not shown in the feed |
| Product image | The image shown on the card |
You can also register products in bulk with a CSV import. When delivering job openings, properties, plans, and so on, register them as products with a name, URL, image, and price (such as a salary or rent).
Choosing HubSpot as the data source
On the content feed creation screen, choose HubSpot as the data source.
- Open "Content feeds" under "Broadcasts" in the menu and click "Create feed"
- Set the "Feed name" and the target "LINE official account"
- Choose "HubSpot" under "Data source"
The data source cannot be changed after the feed is created. To switch between Shopify and HubSpot, create a separate feed.
Types of content to display
For HubSpot products, you can choose between "Newest" and "Hand-picked."
| Type | Products shown |
|---|---|
| "Newest" | Selected by the date added to HubSpot, newest first |
| "Hand-picked" | Search products by name and place a fixed set (up to 10) |
Best sellers, on sale, and recently viewed are selection methods for Shopify products and are not used for HubSpot products. You also set how many products to place on the card with "Number to display."
Filtering by property
You can filter the products in the feed by HubSpot product properties, including custom properties.
Use "Add condition" to specify a "Property," a condition, and a "Value." When you set multiple conditions, only products that meet all of them (AND) are included. You can set up to one condition per property.
| Condition | Products included |
|---|---|
| "equals" | Products that equal the specified value |
| "does not equal" | Products that do not equal the specified value |
| "contains" | Products that contain the specified value |
| "at least" | Products at or above the specified number |
| "at most" | Products at or below the specified number |
"equals" and "does not equal" accept multiple comma-separated values and match if any of them applies.
Setting the price display
For HubSpot products, "Price display" controls whether to show the price and the labels that supply the currency.
HubSpot product prices carry no currency, so the prefix and suffix labels supply it.
| Setting | Details |
|---|---|
| "Show price" | Toggles whether the price is shown on the card |
| "Prefix label" | Text placed before the price (e.g. ¥) |
| "Suffix label" | Text placed after the price (e.g. incl. tax) |
You can set labels to match your content, such as a monthly salary for a job opening or a rent for a property.
Checking with the preview
You can preview the products that will actually be selected before saving.
Click "Refresh preview" to display the products selected under the current conditions. Products with no product URL cannot be shown, and a warning telling you how many products cannot be shown because they have no product URL appears. If some products are missing, set a product URL on the HubSpot side.
Syncing with HubSpot products
HubSpot products sync automatically about every 15 minutes, reflecting changes and deletions on the HubSpot side.
When you add, edit, or delete a product in HubSpot, it is reflected in the feed after a short while (about every 15 minutes). On every send, the latest products at that moment line up on the card.
Using it in product cards and broadcasts
Use a HubSpot content feed you created as the data source of a product card.
- Create a "Products" card in Card Type Messages
- Choose "From a content feed (auto)" as the data source and specify the HubSpot feed you created
- Select that product card in a broadcast or auto message
The send is resolved with the latest content at send time, delivering the products that match the feed's conditions at that moment.
Troubleshooting
When HubSpot products do not appear, check the access, product URLs, and product registration in order.
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| A notice about access appears when you choose HubSpot | Product read access has not been granted. Add it from the notice, or from "Re-authorize HubSpot" under Account info in the HubSpot integration's "Settings" |
| No products appear in the preview | Check whether products are registered in your HubSpot product library and whether the filters are too strict |
| Only some products are missing | Products with no product URL are not shown. Set a product URL in HubSpot |
| The currency is not shown with the price | HubSpot prices carry no currency. Set the currency with the "Prefix label" and "Suffix label" |
| Best sellers or on sale cannot be chosen | For HubSpot products, only "Newest" and "Hand-picked" are available |
