You can integrate your Shopify store in just a few steps by opening the Lumo app from the Shopify admin. Once integrated, your Shopify customer, order, and product data is synced to Lumo, so the agent can put it to work for LINE marketing.
What You Can Do with the Shopify Integration
The Shopify integration connects your Shopify store to Lumo so you can use your store data for LINE marketing.
Once integrated, you can do the following:
- Sync Shopify customer information, order data, and product data to Lumo
- Capture behavior such as product views and cart additions in your online store
- Use the captured data for Segments and Message Broadcasts
When data flows into Lumo, the agent plans broadcasts based on customer behavior. After integrating, we recommend that you first tell the agent your goals and discuss what is possible. If you want to review the integration steps or the synced data settings yourself, refer to each section of this article.
Before You Begin
To start the integration, you need to prepare things on both the Shopify side and the Lumo side.
- You have an administrator account for your Shopify store
- You can open the Lumo app from the Shopify admin
- The LINE Official Account you want to integrate has already been created in Lumo
You log in to Lumo after Shopify access approval is complete. You do not need to select a LINE Official Account before you start the integration work.
Integrate Shopify
To integrate, you open the Lumo app from the Shopify admin, approve access, and then select a LINE Official Account.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the Lumo app in the Shopify admin |
| 2 | On the Shopify access approval screen, approve the requested access permissions |
| 3 | When you return to the Lumo embedded screen, click "Log in to Lumo" to log in if needed |
| 4 | Select the LINE Official Account to integrate |
| 5 | Integrate the selected account and save the settings |
When the integration is complete, a confirmation checklist appears. Follow the checklist to complete the remaining setup on the online store side.
What Happens Automatically
During integration, the following settings are configured automatically. You do not need to do anything manually.
- Registering the tracking target domain: Your online store's domain (the myshopify.com domain) is registered automatically
- Connecting Lumo Tracking: Tracking for capturing behavior data is connected automatically
Notes
- After the first integration, syncing your existing order, customer, and product data may take some time
- Items that contain personal information, such as email addresses and phone numbers, are opt-in by default. Enable them only when you need them
Work Through the Confirmation Checklist
The confirmation checklist that appears after integration lets you review the setup status on the online store side all in one place. Keep the Shopify admin open until every step is complete.
The checklist includes the following steps:
| Step | Details |
|---|---|
| Approve Shopify access | Confirms that Shopify access has been approved |
| Integrate the LINE Official Account | Confirms that the selected LINE Official Account has been integrated |
| LINE Login settings | Sets up LINE Login so customers can link their LINE accounts |
| Add the LINE integration button | Adds a LINE integration button to the order completion page and the account page |
| Connect Lumo Tracking | Confirms that the tracking for capturing behavior data is connected |
| Confirm the synced data scope | Confirms which Shopify items Lumo syncs |
Check the LINE Integration Button
Confirm that the LINE integration button has been added to the order completion page and the account page. With this button, customers can link their Shopify account to your LINE Official Account.
For the LINE integration button to work, you must first complete the LINE Login settings. If LINE Login is not set up, the button will not work, so follow the guidance in the checklist to set it up.
Confirm the Lumo Tracking Connection
In the Shopify admin under "Settings" > "Customer events", confirm that Lumo Tracking is connected. Lumo Tracking is connected automatically during integration, so if it shows as connected, no further action is needed.
Lumo Tracking lets you capture behavior data such as product views and cart additions in your online store.
The Embedded Screen After Integration
Once integration is complete, you can review the integration status and manage the account from the Shopify embedded screen.
Check the Connected LINE Official Account
The information for the connected LINE Official Account appears in a panel. You can check the account name and ID.
Open the Lumo Admin
Click "Open Lumo admin" to go to the Lumo admin. You configure the synced data scope and use marketing features from the Lumo admin.
Change the Integrated Account
If you want to change the integrated LINE Official Account, use "Change integrated account".
Set the Scope of Data to Sync
You manage the scope of the Shopify data to sync on the synced data page under the Shopify settings in the Lumo admin.
On this page, you can set, item by item, whether each Shopify property is synced to Lumo. Items that contain personal information, such as email addresses and phone numbers, are opt-in by default. Enable them explicitly only when you need them.
If you have not decided which data to sync, first ask the agent "which Shopify data should I use," and it will suggest items that match your goals.
Remove the Integration
You remove the Shopify integration from the Shopify settings in the Lumo admin.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the Shopify settings in the Lumo admin |
| 2 | Run "Remove integration" |
| 3 | Uninstall the Lumo app in the Shopify admin if needed |
Data Deleted When You Remove the Integration
When you remove the integration, the following data is deleted. This data cannot be restored after you remove the integration.
- Customer and order data synced from Shopify
- The ID linking information between Lumo customers and Shopify customers
When the ID linking information is deleted, it may affect the broadcast recipients of Segments that use Shopify attributes. Note that if customers link their IDs again after you re-integrate, the links are recreated.
When Things Don't Work
Here are common situations with the Shopify integration and the points to check.
| Situation | What to Check |
|---|---|
| The access approval screen does not appear | Reopen the Lumo app from the Shopify admin |
| A message says you need to log in to Lumo | After approving Shopify access, log in from "Log in to Lumo" on the embedded screen |
| The LINE Official Account does not appear | Check whether a LINE Official Account has already been created in Lumo. If not, create one first |
| Data is not syncing | The first sync may take some time. Wait a while and check again |
| The LINE integration button does not appear or work | Use the confirmation checklist to verify that the LINE Login settings are complete |
| Lumo Tracking is not connected | Check the connection status in the confirmation checklist. It is normally connected automatically during integration |
