When you integrate with Klaviyo, you can use the profiles and Segments you manage in Klaviyo for LINE broadcast targeting, and your LINE friend information can be reflected back into Klaviyo. The steps below cover prerequisites, setup from the Klaviyo App Marketplace, and how to remove the integration when needed.
Prerequisites for the integration
The Klaviyo integration requires administrator permissions on both the Lumo side and the Klaviyo side, along with a connected LINE Official Account.
Before you start, make sure you have completed the following:
- You are logged in to your Lumo Workspace as an administrator
- The LINE Official Account you want to integrate is already connected to Lumo
- You have administrator permissions for your Klaviyo account (permissions that let you change account-wide settings and connect apps)
The integration takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Integrating from the Klaviyo App Marketplace
You install the Lumo app from the Klaviyo App Marketplace to connect Klaviyo and your LINE Official Account. This is the standard way to set up the integration.
Steps to integrate
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Find the Lumo app in the Klaviyo App Marketplace and start the installation |
| 2 | When the Lumo sign-in screen appears, log in |
| 3 | Select the LINE Official Account to connect |
| 4 | Click "Continue in Klaviyo" to proceed to the Klaviyo authorization screen |
| 5 | Once you complete authorization in Klaviyo, the integration is set up |
Authorization requires Klaviyo administrator permissions. If you do not have them, ask your Klaviyo administrator to complete the authorization.
When you have multiple LINE Official Accounts connected
When you have multiple LINE Official Accounts connected to the same Klaviyo, you choose which account to manage when you open the settings screen. You can manage syncing and settings separately for each account.
After the integration is complete
Once the integration is complete, the initial data sync starts automatically. If you let the agent handle the setup, you can move smoothly toward putting your Klaviyo data to use.
The initial data sync may take a few minutes depending on the amount of data. You can check the sync progress on the management screen after the integration.
If you are unsure how to make the most of the integration, you can ask the Marketing Agent, "Please help me set up the Klaviyo integration." You can work together with the agent to design which data to sync and which Segments to broadcast to. If you want to configure the details manually, you can also adjust everything yourself from the management screen described below.
The management screen after the integration
Once the integration is complete, the Klaviyo management screen consists of three tabs: Dashboard, Sync Data, and Settings.
| Tab | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Check the integration status, connected account information, and sync history. You can also manually re-sync data from here |
| Sync Data | Review the properties synced between Klaviyo and Lumo, and toggle the sync of non-required items on or off |
| Settings | Review account information, set up ID integration, configure Flow message sending, and remove the integration |
Setting up the data to sync
You manage which properties are synced between Klaviyo and Lumo on the "Sync Data" tab. Profile items such as name, email address, and phone number may not be included in the sync by default.
When you want to add an item to sync, choose it from "Add Klaviyo property", toggle it on or off, and click "Save settings". Items written from Lumo to Klaviyo, such as the LINE display name and LINE follow status, can also be reviewed on this tab.
If you are unsure which items to sync, you can ask the Marketing Agent, and it will suggest the items you need based on your broadcasting and analysis goals.
Using Shopify product data
To use product feeds such as best sellers, newest, and on sale with product cards, product data sync with your Shopify store is required.
Product feeds assemble their cards from product data synced directly from your Shopify store. In addition to the Klaviyo integration, install the Lumo app on your Shopify store as well. The only step for the merchant is to install the Lumo app on both Klaviyo and Shopify — the product data then syncs automatically.
Removing the integration
If you no longer need the Klaviyo integration, you can remove it from the "Settings" tab.
Steps to remove
- Open the Klaviyo "Settings" tab
- Open the "Remove integration" section
- Click "Remove integration"
- In the confirmation dialog, click "Remove integration"
What happens when you remove it
When you remove the integration, the following are stopped or deleted:
- Periodic syncing with Klaviyo
- The sync history imported from Klaviyo
If no other active LINE integrations remain, the authorization to Klaviyo is also revoked. Note that the profile data written to Klaviyo itself stays on the Klaviyo side.
If you have Segments or operational flows that use Klaviyo attributes, removing the integration may affect your broadcast recipients. Check the scope of the impact before you remove it.
When things do not work
Common issues you may run into during integration, and how to address them, are listed below.
| Symptom | How to address it |
|---|---|
| Authorization for the integration fails | Check whether you have administrator permissions for your Klaviyo account. If you do not, ask your Klaviyo administrator to complete the authorization |
| Data does not sync | The initial data sync may take a few minutes. Check the status in the sync history on the Dashboard |
| Profiles do not appear in Lumo | Check on the "Sync Data" tab whether the items you want to sync are set to be synced, and add the items you need |
