Common questions about upgrading from LITTLE HELP CONNECT to Lumo, the AI agent for LINE marketing, covering data carryover, the process, pricing, and the schedule. We handle the data migration and switchover, and in principle there are three required steps on your side.
What is carried over in the upgrade?
Friend data, tags, the HubSpot integration, creative assets, and your contract plan are all carried over as they are.
| Data | Handling |
|---|---|
| Friend data and tags | Fully migrated |
| ID links with HubSpot contacts | Fully migrated (no reconnection needed) |
| HubSpot synced property settings | Populated automatically (properties in use are detected from your existing broadcasts and workflows; no manual setup) |
| Chat flows and auto-replies | Migrated as Workflows |
| Creative assets such as rich messages and rich menus | Fully migrated |
| QR Codes (traffic sources) | New QR Codes are issued, and existing QR Codes are redirected automatically |
| Contract plan | Carried over as is |
| Past chat history, broadcast history, and statistics | Viewable from Lumo |
| Past broadcasts | Can be duplicated and reused |
| Scheduled broadcasts | Not carried over (please recreate them after the switchover; we'll guide you with a checklist) |
Past chat history and broadcast statistics are carried over as a "reference" view. That view continues after the service ends, and we have no plans to discontinue it. If you need a copy of the raw data, use the export feature (CSV) on the CONNECT screen before the service ends (December 31, 2026).
You can see your past chat history from the Lumo inbox. Turn on "Include CONNECT history" in "Filter" and chat history from before the upgrade lines up in the conversation list. It is off by default, so normally you only see exchanges from after you switched to Lumo.
What does the upgrade process look like, and what do I need to do?
We handle the data migration and switchover. In principle, there are three required steps on your side. The fourth row in the table is an extra step needed only for some customers.
| Step | Approx. time | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Log in to Lumo | About 5 min | Register from the invitation email. You can set a password or use Google login |
| 2. Set up LINE Login | About 15 min (if you have admin access to LINE Developers) | Add the callback URL and a LIFF app in LINE Developers, then register them in Lumo. A video and an illustrated guide are available |
| 3. Re-register payment details | About 5 min | On the contract information page, click "Switch billing to Lumo" and register your payment details. For a credit card, this means re-registering your card details; for bank transfer, it means registering as a Paid vendor (screening applies) |
| 4. Register the Messaging API Channel ID and Channel Secret (applicable customers only) | About 5 min | If the Messaging API section in your account settings shows "This account was migrated from CONNECT, so the Messaging API Channel ID and Channel Secret are not registered yet", check them in the LINE Developers console under the Messaging API settings and register them in Lumo. Until they're registered, LINE Login, QR codes, and tracking links don't work |
Setting up LINE Login and registering the Messaging API Channel ID and Channel Secret require admin access to LINE Developers. If that access belongs to your IT department or an agency, contacting them early keeps things smooth.
Is there anything to check at the time of switchover?
In addition to the required steps, there are a few items to check when you switch over.
- Password: Not carried over. Reset it from the invitation email or use Google login
- Two-factor authentication: If you used it in CONNECT, it needs to be set up again (optional)
- Scheduled broadcasts: Not migrated, so please recreate them after the switchover
- Website tracking code: Replace it with the one issued by Lumo ("Settings" > "Workspace Settings" > "Tracking"; you can optionally restrict tracking to specific sites)
- Assets that had lost their images: Rich messages and other assets whose images were missing on the CONNECT side are migrated under their original names with a placeholder image asking you to reset the image. Set the image again before sending
- GIF images: Carried over as still images (PNG). CONNECT also sent them as stills
- Mobile app: We will guide you through switching to the Lumo app. Login credentials are shared with the web version
Will LINE broadcasts or auto-replies stop during the upgrade?
No. Message reception, auto-replies, and chat do not stop because the upgrade uses a switchover method, and we perform the switchover work.
Auto-replies (Workflows) are carried over with their enabled or disabled state intact, so auto-replies that are running never stop. A few points to note:
- Scheduled broadcasts are not migrated. Recreate them after the switchover
- If the "Auto-replies" folder in your Workflow list contains disabled Workflows whose names start with "[CONNECT migration: review required]", those are auto-replies Lumo couldn't migrate automatically. Please rebuild them using your CONNECT settings as a reference (we'll contact affected customers individually)
- Questions that wait for a friend's reply stay open for 24 hours in Lumo (in CONNECT they expired within minutes)
How is my data handled?
Your data is stored in Japan, and we never use it to train AI.
- Data is stored in Japan (the Tokyo region of Google Cloud)
- We never use your data to train AI
- A security white paper is available. You can use it for an internal review or to brief your IT department (we hand it over during an individual upgrade consultation)
Will my price change?
No. Your current plan is carried over as is—no price increase and no plan-change operation needed.
- Billing in Lumo starts on the 1st of the month after your switchover. There is no double billing in the switchover month (that month is settled through CONNECT billing)
- If you pay by bank transfer, billing switches automatically on the 1st of the following month once Paid vendor registration and screening are complete. CONNECT billing continues until then, so payments are never interrupted or duplicated
- After the upgrade, do not change to the Free plan. The plan settings carried over from CONNECT would be lost. If you are considering a plan change, please contact support first
- There's a target deadline for switching your billing to Lumo (usually the end of the month after your switchover month). As it approaches, a banner at the top of the admin screen and notifications to administrators remind you. Nothing stops working after the deadline, but CONNECT billing continues, so please switch early
Do my contract details or terms change?
No. Your current contract details—plan, price, and terms—are carried over as they are.
- There's no plan migration to run and no paperwork to redo
- There's no price increase and no additional cost
- You can check your own contract details from the CONNECT admin screen. Open the "Usage & Billing" tab from the card in the account list, then look at the "Subscription" menu on the left
- If anything is unclear, email us at support@littlehelp.co.jp, or we can check it together during an individual upgrade consultation
How does the pricing table on the Lumo website relate to what I pay now?
The pricing table on the website is for new customers, and the upgrade doesn't change what you pay.
The upgrade carries over your current CONNECT contract terms as they are. If you're wondering how the pricing table relates to your own contract, we can check it together during an individual upgrade consultation.
Who issues the invoice, and what about the qualified invoice system?
We already support Japan's qualified invoice system, so the invoices you receive comply with it.
If you pay by bank transfer, your billing goes through the Paid process. For details specific to your case, such as who issues the invoice, please ask during an individual upgrade consultation.
Is the Free plan eligible for the upgrade too?
Yes, customers on the Free plan are also covered by the automatic upgrade.
We'll email Free plan customers individually with their schedule and the upgrade steps.
Is there anything new I can do after the upgrade?
At the same price, seats and QR Code creation become unlimited, and two AI agents are added.
- The additional charge for seats is discontinued. The previous cap of 10 seats becomes unlimited
- The 300 QR Code cap is removed, so you can create as many as you need
- Marketing Agent: works in the admin screen and helps you plan, create, and analyze broadcasts and manage goals
- Customer Agent: handles customer inquiries on LINE 24 hours a day
Do I need to rebuild the HubSpot integration?
No. ID links, workflow integrations, and synced property settings are all carried over.
Manual setup of synced contact properties is also unnecessary. During the upgrade, properties in use are detected from your existing broadcasts and workflows and added to the sync settings, and afterwards only the properties actually in use keep syncing automatically.
Do not uninstall the integration app installed in HubSpot after the upgrade. Uninstalling it stops the integration.
Do I need to reprint QR Codes that are already printed?
No. Existing QR Codes are redirected to Lumo automatically.
QR Codes already placed on posters or in stores keep working even after the service ends, and we have no plans to stop the redirect. We recommend replacing them with new QR Codes issued in Lumo the next time you print or refresh those materials.
How long can I keep using CONNECT?
LITTLE HELP CONNECT ends service on December 31, 2026. You can use both in parallel until then.
To avoid overlapping the upgrade with the year-end shopping season (December), we recommend completing the upgrade by the end of November. We'll start guiding customers through the automatic upgrade in stages from around August 2026. When your turn approaches, we'll always contact you individually before starting.
Exporting data (CSV) from the CONNECT screen is available until the service end date. Viewing past chat history and broadcast results from Lumo continues after the service ends.
Are any features discontinued?
Some features are discontinued. We will contact affected customers individually and propose alternatives.
| Feature | Alternative |
|---|---|
| SMS sending | Guidance on alternatives is available; we will contact you individually |
| Run code | We will ask about your use case and propose a no-code alternative. After the upgrade, these steps are skipped safely, and the original code remains viewable in Lumo (read-only) |
| Custom database | Please consult us individually |
| Google Calendar integration | Please consult us individually |
| Duplicate removal (phone number, mobile phone number, custom property) | The setting isn't carried over. In Lumo, the placeholder contact created when a friend adds the account is merged automatically once an ID link is made, so merging by email address works with no setup. To link by a value such as a member ID, use "Use this property for ID linking" on the workflow question action, or the "ID linkage by form submission" action in a HubSpot workflow. Phone numbers can be linked with the question action's "Phone number (ID linking)" |
| Public API | Parts of it are offered in Lumo (limited to eligible plans). We will contact customers using it individually. Lumo's chat history API returns messages from after the switchover; for earlier history, use "Include CONNECT history" in the inbox or the CONNECT CSV export |
Does the upgrade cost anything?
The data migration itself is free. Individual upgrade consultations (Zoom) are also free.
Can I go back to CONNECT if something goes wrong after the upgrade?
You can cancel at any time before the switchover, because CONNECT keeps running as your production system until then.
We do not support writing data back after the switchover, but your past data on the CONNECT side remains viewable and is not deleted.
Where can I get help?
Individual upgrade consultations (Zoom, free) and email support are available.
- Individual upgrade consultation: We can walk through steps such as the LINE Login setup together over screen share
- Email: support@littlehelp.co.jp
- For questions about using Lumo, you can ask Marketing Agent right there in the Lumo admin screen
- If you're a partner (agency) managing multiple customers, we can set up a shared Slack channel or consultations that cover several companies at once—let us know when you contact us
